Canadian National Internal Dosimetry Performance Testing Programme
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper describes the design and construction of new Performance Testing programme that was implemented in Canada in 2008. The Canadian Regulator (Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission – CNSC) had determined that their licensees, in addition to the existing In Vivo and In Vitro performance tests, needed to demonstrate their ability in interpreting bioassay results. The program is administered by the Canadian National Calibration Reference Centre for Bioassay and In Vivo Monitoring (NCRC). Currently the NCRC carries out the performance testing for the In Vitro and In Vivo. At time of writing, the first round has not been completed and the pass/fail criteria have not been determined.

Personal Dosimetry Performance Testing in the United States
The basis for personal dosimetry performance testing in the United States is ANSI/HPS N13.11. Now in it's fourth edition, this standard has been in place since 1983. Testing under this standard is administered by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), and accreditation of dosimetry processors under this program is required by U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) re...

متن کاملQA Programme of the TLD Laboratory of the University of Costa Rica: IEC 61066 testing
The Thermoluminescence Personal Dosimetry Laboratory of the University of Costa Rica provides dose measurements for around 90% of occupational radiation workers in the country. The assessment of doses to workers routinely exposed to external sources of radiation constitutes an integral part of any radiation protection programme and helps national authorities to ensure acceptably safe and satisf...
متن کاملInRaDoS: An internal radiation dosimetry computer program
Introduction: Internal radiation dosimetry is important from a radiation protection point of view and can help to optimize the radiation dose delivered to the workers, public, and patients. It has a rather simple protocol but needs a large amount of data. Therefore, it is difficult to do on a routine basis. The use of computer programs makes internal radiation dosimetry simpler...
متن کاملResponse of TLD and RPL personal dosimeters in a national inter-comparison test program
Background: Different kinds and models of personal dosimeters are used in individual monitoring by workers. Performance testing as part of approval procedures is carried out to demonstrate that the essential performance specifications are routinely maintained. There are four service providers in Iran which use different luminescence techniques (i. e. TLD and RPL) with various kinds of dos...
